Mariette Moore is principal of her Westchester-based art advisory firm, focused on the acquisition and placement of contemporary art. Drawing from her twenty year experience and expertise in the art world, Mariette works closely with clients to develop private collections as well as offer expert appraisal services.

Mariette is a current candidate member of the Appraisers Association of America, the elite appraisal organization in the United States, is a full-time appraiser and broker of fine art. She founded her appraisal and brokerage company, Moore | Tetrault, in 2024. In her professional capacity, she appraises modern and contemporary paintings and prints, with a specialization in American Folk Art.

Mariette frequently places emerging, mid-career and established artists via primary and secondary market acquisitions.  Her discerning eye for contemporary art as well as her close relationships with galleries and auctioneers are invaluable assets to her clients.

Mariette has a BA in Economics and Art History from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta, GA. She completed the Certificate Program in the Art Appraisal at the Appraisers Association and became certified in 2024. She is currently a candidate member of the Appraisers Association of America and attends multiple continuing education events every year.

Mariette has a long history in the art world working with some of the best auctioneers and dealers in the business.  She has worked with Susan Bridges of Whitespace Gallery and with Blair Voltz-Clarke’s eponymous gallery.  She was the Publisher of ART+AUCTION magazine and was the East Coast Director at Art & Antiques magazine through January 2025.  Mariette has held many board positions in the arts, most notably with the Folk Art Museum and the Denver Art Museum’s Young Collectors groups.
